CD’s are an insured savings alternative that has a fixed term and a fixed rate. Southwest Heritage Credit Union offers four different terms and the interest rate is based on the level invested. The minimum balance to open a certificate is $1,000. Interest is paid monthly. The penalty for early withdrawal is 90 days interest for 6 month and 12 month terms; 180 days interest for all other terms.

Membership Tenure Rewards are available on all Certificates of Deposit

• Membership longer than 3 years, base rate will be increased 0.10%
• Membership longer than 5 years, base rate will be increased 0.15%
• Membership longer than 10 years, base rate will be increased 0.20%

Additional Rewards on all Certificates of Deposit

• Checking account with minimum of 5 debit card transactions in each of previous 3 months, add an additional 0.05%
• E-Statements active for previous 3 months, add an additional 0.05%
• Active loan account, add an additional 0.05%
• Active credit card account (must have activity within last 6 months), add an additional 0.05%
