Why are my transfers not going through in Home Banking?
When we upgraded to real-time home banking, the amount of transfers that can be processed online each month was limited to six (6). At this time, we are unable to reverse this change due to Federal regulation. However, you may still make as many transfers you wish over the phone by calling (432) 367-8993, or at one of our two convenient locations.

How is my information being protected?
Please know that our system security and your privacy are top priority. Our online home banking system is meant to make your life easier, so worrying about the integrity of our site or your personal information would defeat that purpose. Therefore, we have several policies and procedures in place to ensure that our system and your information is never compromised. Some of these precautions include:
- Every bit of information sent or received is encrypted, making it unreadable during transmission
- Firewall protection on the credit union’s host computer makes it inaccessible to outsiders
- The ability to change your password anytime gives you the power to protect yourself
- Password encryption ensures that no one can get your password even us. *Please note, no one at Southwest Heritage Credit Union will ever ask you for your password.
- Constant monitoring and equipment updates keep us safe and secure
If you have questions or concerns about our site security, please feel free to contact us.
How is my money protected?
In an uncertain economy, one thing you can be certain of is that your money is safe at Southwest Heritage Credit Union. The federal government has increased insurance coverage on your credit union accounts to at least $250,000.
In 2009, congress passed a law increasing federal savings insurance coverage from $100,000 to $250,000. The increase is effective until December 31, 2013.
Savings in every federally insured credit union are backed by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) with money in a fund maintained by the U.S. Treasury. Federal insurance protects your money at your credit union in share savings, share draft/checking, money market, share certificates, trusts, and retirement accounts.
And your funds in a federally insured credit union can be insured to a much higher level than $250,000. For example, a family of two can insure up to $1.5 million depending on how the accounts are structured. IRAs (Individual Retirement Accounts) and Keogh accounts are insured separately up to $250,000.
Your money is just as safe at your credit union as it is at a federally insured bank. The NCUA’s coverage for credit unions is the same as the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s (FDIC) coverage for banks. Both funds are backed by the full faith of the U.S. Government.
You can also rest assured that we at Southwest Heritage Credit Union always have our member’s interest in mind. We carefully evaluate each and every lending opportunity, allocate resources as necessary, and stand by our ethics everyday.
What should I do if there are suspicious charges on my account?
If you notice charges on your account that were not authorized by you or a joint account holder, contact Southwest Heritage Credit Union immediately at (432) 367-8993. If the charges are linked to your debit card, call the (800) number listed on the back of your card.
If you have lost your debit card, or if has been stolen, click here. Also, check out our helpful tips to protect you from identity theft.
